The word Verdant...
Although the word "verdant" doesn't appear in most translations of the Bible, its description is richly woven throughout Scripture and is used to convey something covered with lush, healthy green plants and grass symbolizing life, prosperity, and spiritual vitality.
The term describes perfect beauty and abundance as seen in the Biblical description of the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:9);
faithful provision seen in the Promised Land (Deut. 11:10-12); radical transformation where barren lands become fertile and beautiful, blossoming to reflect God's glory (Isa. 35:1-2); rest, nourishment and guidance found in green pastures (psalm 23:2); spiritual growth and vitality (Psalms 1:3 & 92:12-14); and fruitful and eternal life and healing that comes only from God (Psalm 53:8 & Revelation 22:2).
Verdancy is found in the context of an intimate covenant relationship with Jesus, The Good Shepherd,
living under the fellowship of His watchful care and blessing.

Meet with a Board Certified Christian Counselor; a trusted ordained Pastor with 20+ years experience in pastoral counseling ministry. Sessions last 60 minutes and are all online from the comfort of your home or other private space. Education and training includes a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family from Liberty University. Certification in Prepare Enrich, SYMBIS, along with several trainings and certificates from the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC/Light University). Inner healing and deliverance prayer available.
