A little about me

The story so far...

I grew up in a Catholic home, where we attended church regularly. In a family of 5 I am the middle child, with an older sister and a younger brother. Although I never claimed Catholicism as my own, I grew up familiar with God and with Jesus. Looking back, I can see how he was “wooing” me and encountering me all along.

I had my son when I was 19 years old and married his father the following year. We were both saved a few years later in the fall of 1995. Shortly after I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and quickly began asking the Lord for His “call” on my life, wanting to serve Him in whatever way He might choose to use me. Shortly after, I started part time work in the nursery at my church, and over a 10-year time frame, I would serve in three different positions of leadership in Children’s Ministries. The Lord used that time of teaching children and leading people to train me in many ways.

Toward the end of my tenure in Children’s, in 2003, after 10 years of marriage I found myself going through a divorce.

In the midst of the Lord putting my life back together, I began to sense a shift in the call He had on my life for future seasons, Prior to and after my divorce, I had attended several years of personal counseling of various types as the Lord began to address the many wounds of my childhood and young adult life. Counseling became something I was very passionate about, and the Lord began to show me He wanted to use the pain I had experienced to help others.

As a single mom, and at 32 years old, I began an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Over the course of an 8-year time span I worked to provide for my son and I while using my spare time to finish my education. In 2006, I transitioned from kids’ ministry and began my work in Pastoral Care. I knew it was a good fit for what the Lord had begun building in me. I found Him burdening my heart and deepening my desire to help others and for future ministry opportunities.

30 years in church ministry, a Master's Degree and many trainings and certifications later, here I am. Ready and willing to help you, should you desire and the Lord allow.

I am thrilled to say, I was remarried in 2018 to Jason the love of my life!  We now have three grandkids and enjoy opportunities to serve the Lord together as He provides.

And the adventure continues!
